Accessibility Information
Unless otherwise noted, all courses and events take place at Forum Brasil.
Facilities
- Our facilities for public events are located on the ground floor in the backyard and are accessible via a step or a ramp.
- The accessible restrooms, kitchen, and main event hall are all on the same level.
- Our office space and, when indicated, events (in rare cases) are located on the first floor and are accessible only by stairs. Please let us know if this poses a problem, and we will do our best to make accommodations (e.g., rescheduling or hybrid participation).
- The main entrance door to the entire building is operated by a buzzer system and can be opened by pressing the button; the door is moderately heavy. If this is a problem, please let us know in advance, and we can come and open the door for you, for example.
Events
- Most of our events are designed to take place in a relaxed atmosphere. We’re also happy to provide more detailed information about the schedule, lighting, sound levels, etc., for each event to help you better assess and prepare for your participation.
- Unfortunately, we are currently unable to offer audio descriptions or hearing/induction loops during events.
- Assistance dogs are welcome at many of our events; please register in advance or contact us for clarification.
Languages
- Most of our events are held in German or English. The language(s) of the events are always specified, and any available translation services or subtitles are also always indicated.
- Unfortunately, we are currently still very limited financially when it comes to offering mediation, translation, and interpretation services.
Questions About Accessibility
We deeply regret that our facilities and events are not currently fully accessible. As a very small, partially funded project, we unfortunately lack the structural funding and support needed to implement accessibility measures. Nevertheless, we strive to make our offerings as accessible as possible and to find individualized solutions when necessary.
